Web design usually ranges from $1,000 - $2,000
(Product design sites may be more due to their complexity. Complexity may be but not limited to a large amount of product shots, scans and or shopping cart features.)

Most other services offered are $50.00 an hour.
(Time used may be submitted to clients upon request.)

Ryke.biz requires a deposit to begin all work. How much of a deposit may vary from client to client and project to project.

For small or short-term projects an estimated time will be quoted. To begin work, 50% (of the estimated total cost agreed upon) will be requested with the balance on delivery of the final piece.

• For larger or longer term projects deposits will be broken into 1/3rd or 1/4th (this is optional). To begin work 1/3rd or 1/4th will be requested with the remaining balance throughout and the final payment upon delivery. For monthly projects a specific amount or percentage will be expected (this amount will be agreed upon up front) each month or after you've incurred a set number of hours.

Requesting a deposit from clients is standard trade practice for designers. Getting a deposit is to the client's advantage as well due to being able to pay in installments. This will prevent requiring a large payment at the end of a job.

Accepting an assignment will be incurring many hours prior to even delivering a preliminary design: time spent doing research, brainstorming, conceptualization, and developing layout ideas. Deposit's are for working on spec (doing work that otherwise you would not get paid for). Without a deposit Ryke.biz would not be able to expend the time and related expenses to do the research necessary to come up with initial designs for the client.

Working with a deposit and interim installments helps insure that the design process and final delivery doesn't get held up or delayed due to outstanding payments.
